Aims and Vision

The Registrations of Interest demonstrate a clear demand to establish a music school in Saltburn, in particular for freelance instrumental and vocal music teachers to be able to teach students, as well as a place for music grade exams to be carried out, which is not currently available in Redcar and Cleveland.

Music is a powerful tool for regeneration and personal development. SCAA will work to maximise project activity to introduce people from disadvantaged backgrounds to the benefit of making and enjoying music through these facilities.

Phasing

This is planned for phase one of The Works @ Marske Mill. It is expected that the music room will start in the most basic of forms and develop over the initial five years of The Works @ Marske Mill.
