A need in the Community
SCAA has received 24 of Registration of Interest from individuals, volunteer groups and businesses supporting our bid for the CAT. These expressions represent the democratic desires and aims of hundreds of residents of Saltburn and the wider area.
Market Research
The process leading to this bid was the result of a series of public meetings held:
- Initial Meeting Autumn 2010;
- Wednesday 16th February 2011 at 19:30 in the SCAA Theatre;
- Tuesday 14th June 2011 at 17:00 at the SCAA Theatre.
From these meetings a working group was established from members of the public; this group has since become the Marske Mill Sub-committee of SCAA.
It has consulted with the wider community through specific dialogue and the collection of 24 formal registration of interest in usages for the building.
SCAA has also established a specific presence on its website to enable members of the public to engage with the project as well as utilising elements of social media to increase community participation.
